She also hoisted the national flag at the ceremony. Federal Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and Provincial Information Minister Azma Bukhari were present.
Speaking at the event, the chief minister said protecting the environment is the need of the hour. “Pakistan is facing serious climate change threats. Smog causes school closures and widespread illness,” she said.

She admitted that the closure of traditional brick kilns caused unemployment but added, “We don’t want anyone to lose their job.” She called the formation of the force a long-time dream. “Marriyum Aurangzeb helped turn my dream into reality,” she added.
The CM said millions of trees have already been planted across Punjab and more are being added. “Punjab will be green and clean again,” she vowed.
Calling street crime and theft her “red line,” she said that criminals are now being arrested within hours. She warned hospital staff against demanding money or neglecting patient care.
“Children with heart disease are getting free surgeries. Thousands are receiving dialysis and organ transplants,” she said.
Wrapping up her speech, Maryam Nawaz said, “Pakistan is a fertile land. It will grow and prosper. Our youth are full of talent. We just need to work together.”
Earlier Marriyum Aurangzeb talking to media ,emphasised that the chief minister’s vision for environmental protection was materialised within a year.
