CM Punjab visits Arshad Nadeem’s home, presents him with Rs100m cheque

MIAN CHANNU: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem’s home on Tuesday afternoon.
During the visit, the chief minister congratulated Arshad Nadeem on winning the gold medal and presented him with a cheque of Rs100 million for his heroic win in the Olympics.
Congratulating Arshad Nadeem on his win, Maryam Nawaz dubbed him the true hero of the nation.
Additionally, Maryam Nawaz gifted Arshad Nadeem a car with a special license plate numbered 92.97, symbolizing his record-breaking throw of 92.97 meters in the Olympics.

The Chief Minister also awarded a check of Rs five million to Arshad Nadeem’s coach in recognition of his contribution to this historic achievement.
Arshad Nadeem won the gold medal in the men’s javelin beating defending champion Neeraj Chopra of India to clinch Pakistan’s first Olympic Athletic medal in Paris Olympics 2024, besides breaking the previous Olympic record with a 92.97-metre massive throw.
