CM Sindh announces 30K Google Career Certificate Scholarships

WEB DESK: Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has announced 30,000 scholarships for students from 30 universities across the province. The announcement was made during a signing ceremony between the Sindh government, Google, and Teach Valley at the Chief Minister House.
CM Murad Ali Shah formally launched the 30,000 Google Career Certificate Scholarships aimed at providing training in project management, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence (AI).
He added that digital skills are key to Sindh’s socio-economic development and called the scholarships an investment in youth. A special quota has been allocated for women and underprivileged groups.

Last year, 1,500 students from 10 public universities received similar scholarships, while this year, the initiative has been expanded to 30 public universities, benefiting 30,000 students.
CM Sindh noted that last year, all those enrolled completed their Google Career Certificate courses, which typically range from three to six months: “Our goal is to equip Sindh’s students with world-class training and skills.”
Education Minister Sardar Shah and Secretary to CM Rahim Sheikh were also present.
