COAS spends Eid with troops on Western Border

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir visited Wana in South Waziristan and Chehkan in Dera Ismail Khan to spend Eid-ul-Fitr with the officers and troops employed on the Western Border.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS offered Eid prayers, and prayed for the enduring stability and prosperity of Pakistan.
During his interaction, the COAS extended warm Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the troops, lauding their unwavering dedication and exemplary service to the nation.
“Your commitment and resilience not only secure our homeland but also exemplify your profound love for Pakistan,” he stated.
The COAS appreciated the performance of the Armed Forces and LEAs alongside the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who have always braved against the menace of terrorism.

In acknowledging the formations’ tireless efforts, the COAS attributed their achievements to the sacrifices of our martyrs and those who are committed towards the greater cause of peace and stability.
Upon his arrival, the COAS was warmly received by the Corps Commander Peshawar.
Leadership extends Eid greetings
Meanshile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended Eid greetings to the nation, stressing upon the day’s messages of “joy, gratitude, brotherhood and empathy.”
In his message, the premier warned that Pakistan continues to face threats from both internal and external enemies, urging citizens to unite against extremism, hatred and sectarianism: “We must unite for the country’s integrity and stability.”
PM Sharif stressed, calling on the nation to foil conspiracies against Pakistan through solidarity, and highlighted that strengthening the economy, society and national unity remained a shared responsibility, noting his government’s ongoing efforts to stabilize the economy.
Similarly, President Asif Ali Zardari shared his Eid message with the entire nation and the Muslim world. “This joyous day comes to us as a blessing after the spiritual journey of Ramadan, filled with worship and piety,” he said.
President Zardari urged citizens to implement the lessons of discipline and self-restraint learned during Ramadan into their daily lives. “It is our responsibility to practice the training we received during Ramadan in our everyday conduct,” he said.

He particularly stressed the importance of remembering those facing economic hardships during the celebrations. “On this occasion of Eid, we must remember those who are suffering from financial difficulties,” he said, adding that “true happiness lies in sharing one’s joys with others.”
Lastly, he appealed to all Pakistanis to contribute to the nation’s progress. “Let us all play our role in leading Pakistan towards development and prosperity.”
