Crocodiles escape from Safari Park

KARACHI:  Panic and chaos has gripped the area as a number of crocodiles ‘escaped’ from the Safari Park near Deharki in Sindh and ventured into the nearby areas due to the negligence of the administration.

After escaping from the Safari Park, the crocodiles ventured into a village and feasted on the chickens and plunged to nearby Qazi Wah Canal.  The villagers managed to capture a three feet long crocodile with self-help.

The people of the area feared that the presence of crocodiles in the canal is a constant threat to the lives of children and cattle.

They said that they had informed the officials of Wildlife Department but the staff did not respond to their emergency request. Only a retired wildlife employee reached there to help them.

The locals demanded that the government should immediately send a wildlife team to capture all the crocodiles from the Qazi Wah Canal and transfer them to the Safari Park.
