CTD nabs four TTP terrorists linked to Besham attack in Shangla

SHANGLA: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has announced the arrest of four terrorists allegedly involved in the recent attack in Besham, situated in Shangla District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The arrested individuals, reportedly affiliated with the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), have confessed to their involvement in the attack, according to CTD sources.
The attack, which occurred on March 26, claimed the lives of five foreigners and one Pakistani national. Following intensive investigations, the CTD managed to apprehend the suspects.

According to a statement released by the Counter Terrorism Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the arrested include Adil Shehbaz s/o Sadbar Khan, Muhammad Shafiq Qureshi s/o Haji Muhammad Akbar, Zahid Qureshi s/o Muhammad Shafiq Qureshi and Nazeer Hussain s/o Pir Afzal Shah.
Efforts are being made to unearth the entire network behind the attack, the statement added.
Further details regarding the arrested individuals and their motives are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
