Daska police arrest stray cattle, files complaint against owners

DASKA: In an unprecedented move, Daska’s local authorities have made headlines by apprehending stray cattle, on the alleged charges of being a persistent nuisance responsible for damaging the city’s greenery.
According to local media reports, municipal officials have successfully detained the cattle responsible for wreaking havoc on the city’s green belt, taking them into custody for further action.

Additionally, an official complaint has been lodged at the city police station, urging authorities to hold accountable the owners of the four apprehended animals.
The issue of roaming livestock not only poses a threat to public safety but also inflicts substantial damage on vital infrastructure, including highways and green spaces, according to municipal sources. The stray cattle also damage the city’s aesthetics with their waste.
Just days ago, Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Syeda Nosheen, alongside the assistant commissioner and deputy superintendent of police (DSP), participated in a tree planting initiative along College Road. Such plants are also at risk with stray cattle roaming around town.
