DHA flood: Search continues for father, daughter; car door recovered

RAWALPINDI: Rescue workers are continuing their search for the third consecutive day for the father and daughter, who were swept away by the flood waters in DHA, Islamabad.

A tragic incident occurred in DHA Islamabad Phase 5, Sector A, where Col (retd) Qazi Ishaq and his daughter were swept away along with their vehicle in a flooded seasonal stream on Tuesday.

The rescue authorities have been unable to recover the duo despite an extensive search since the past two days.

However, according to Rescue 1122, the car’s door and bonnet were recovered from beneath the Soan River bridge.

Rescue teams continued the search operation for the third consecutive day to locate the missing persons.
