KP pension system digitised

PESHAWAR: A digital pension system has been approved in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), enabling pensioners to receive payments directly without standing in long queues.

In this regard Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has approved the launch of the Ehsaas e-Pension System.

According to government officials, the system will become operational on January 1, 2026. After that, all pension payments will be processed through the digital platform, fully replacing the existing manual system.

An Ehsaas Pension Dashboard will also be launched.

Officials said that six months before retirement, employees will be able to submit their pension case through a simple digital form on the portal. All documents will be scanned and uploaded securely, while the system will automatically generate time-bound tasks for the relevant authorities.

The verification and approval process will also be completed digitally. All orders will carry legally valid digital signatures.

The paperless system will be linked with NADRA, the Accountant General’s Office, and banks.

Authorities added that under the e-Pension system, payments will be directly transferred to the retired employee’s bank account within the stipulated time.

CM Gandapur said retired employees would no longer have to visit offices repeatedly for their pensions. He called it a “true paperless system” that would promote transparency and accountability.

He further noted that 36 public services have already been digitized in the province.
