Driver foils robbery attempt in Chilas

Chilas – A remarkable act of courage unfolded as a driver successfully thwarted a robbery attempt in Chilas.

In a sequence of events, the assailants strategically obstructed the road by positioning stones, intended to halt oncoming vehicles. Undeterred by this obstruction, the driver demonstrated exceptional valor by skillfully maneuvering the vehicle and executing a sharp turn, evading the trap.

The audacity of the driver’s response prompted the robbers to resort to violence, discharging gunfire that not only punctured the vehicle’s tires but also inflicted injuries upon the driver.

Despite the compromised tires, the driver exhibited exceptional composure, skillfully navigating the handicapped vehicle to a nearby hotel within Chilas. Swiftly reporting the incident, the driver’s actions ensured timely intervention.

Subsequently, the injured driver was expeditiously transported to Chilas Regional Headquarters Hospital, where tragically, he succumbed to his injuries.
