Dry weather predicted across most parts of country

ISLAMABAD: Mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours. However, rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in upper parts of the country, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave will likely enter upper parts of the country from tomorrow evening/night.
Under these conditions, mainly dry weather is expected in the twin cities and most parts of the country on Tuesday and Wednesday.

However, rains with wind/thunderstorms are expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Manshera, Kurrum, Khyber, Shangla and Buner), Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the period.
TEMPERATURES OF MAJOR CITIES RECORDED THIS MORNING:
Islamabad 12 degree centigrade, Lahore 19, Karachi 24, Peshawar 14, Quetta seven, Gilgit nine, Murree eight and Muzaffarabad 11 degree centigrade.
Islamabad’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 27-29 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 28-30 C on Wednesday.
Mithi remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature reached 38 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 28 per cent.
