Earthquake jolts Islamabad, other cities

ISLAMABAD: Multiple earthquake tremors were felt in Islamabad and Rawalpindi around 8:28 PM on Wednesday, prompting citizens to evacuate buildings as the tremors endured for more than 5 seconds.
Along with the twin cities, the tremors were also experienced in several other cities, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mardan, Kohat, Swat, Lower Dir, and Malakand, as well as in Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s (AJK) Muzaffarabad.
Just 20 minutes prior, an earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter Scale struck Seoni, Madhya Pradesh, India, at 8:02 PM on Wednesday, as reported by the National Centre for Seismology.
