Earthquake jolts Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Earthquake jolted Islamabad and surrounding areas on Wednesday noon. Peshawar also felt tremors.

Earthquake jolts were also felt in Chiniot, Khushab, Sargodha, Jhang, Thal, Faisalabad and Kurram.

Initial reports say that the earthquake jolts were also felt in Talagang, Shorkot, Raiwand, Hafizabad and Mianwali.

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) says that the magnitude of 5.7 on Richter scale. The depth of the earthquake was 10 km, and the epicenter was near DG Khan, Shadi Wala in Punjab.
