Earthquake tremors of 5.4 magnitude felt in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Severe earthquake tremors were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and its surrounding areas on Thursday morning.

The National Seismic Monitoring Centre reported 5.4 magnitude earthquake with epicenter in the Hindukash mountains.

Moderate intensity earthquake tremors were also reported in Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Swat and adjoining region in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Tremors were also reported in Malakand, Lower Dir, Mansehra districts and Hazara division in KP.

According to reports tremors also felt in Lahore, Sargodha, Multan and Gujranwala

No casualties are damages yet reported in the quake.
