Earthquake tremors felt in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Residents of Islamabad, Rawalpindi and surrounding regions experienced significant earthquake tremors on Saturday morning, causing alarm.
An earthquake of 5.3 magnitude was recorded on the Richter scale; its epicenter was the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
The tremors were felt across a wide region, including Abbottabad, Peshawar, Shahqadar, Hassan Abdal, Deir Bala, Mansehra and Shangla and other nearby regions.
The depth of the earthquake was 230 kilometers, according to the Seismological Center.
