ECP announces electoral updates across multiple constituencies


ECP announced Abdul Aleem Khan as winner from NA-117

LAHORE: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday announced Abdul Aleem Khan as winner from NA-117 constituency in Lahore. Aleem Khan scored 91,489 votes as an Istehkam Pakistan Party (IPP) candidate.

Meanwhile, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate Sarfraz Bugti was announced the winner from the constituency PB-10 in Dera Bugti for a seat in the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan. Bugti won 52,485 votes whereas his main contender, Guaram Bugti managed to score 25,773 for the Jamhori Watan Party (JWP).

Similarly, the ECP announced Samad Khan Gorgaij as winner of PB-40 constituency in Quetta. Gorgaij won a seat in the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan as a PPP candidate.

Meanwhile, the ECP revoked the announcement of IPP candidate Aun Chaudhry’s victory in NA-128. The ECP’s Director General (DG) Law informed the Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice about the alteration. The DG-Law admitted an error on the ECP’s part, leading to the retraction of the announcement. The notification of Aun Chaudhary’s success in NA-128 will remain suspended until further orders.
