ECP announces final notification of three Islamabad NA seats

ISLAMABAD: In accordance with sub-section (1) of Section 98 of the Elections Act, 2017 (Act No. XXXII of 2017), the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially released the names of three successful candidates elected to the National Assembly seats from Islamabad, following the General Elections 2024.

Victories of Farooq Sattar, Mustafa Kamal challenged

The following individuals have been declared as victorious from their respective constituencies:

– Anjum Aqeel Khan from NA-46 representing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)

– Tariq Fazal Chaudhary from NA-47 representing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)

– Raja Khurram Shahzad Nawaz from NA-48 as an independent candidate.

It is important to note that the independent candidate, Raja Khurram Shahzad Nawaz, retains the option to affiliate with a political party within three days from the issuance of the above notification. This provision is in accordance with sub-clauses (d) and (e) of clause (6) of Article 51 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
