ECP releases polling stations details for general elections

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released details of polling stations for the general elections.
According to sources, preparations for the general elections are in full swing, and the ECP has provided details on polling stations categorised as normal, sensitive, and highly sensitive in relation to the general elections.
According to official documents, a total of 91,809 polling stations will be established throughout the country. The number of normal polling stations is 41,890, with 32,508 polling stations classified as sensitive and 17,411 as highly sensitive.

In Punjab, 15,829 polling stations are considered sensitive, along with 6,599 categorised as highly sensitive. In Sindh, there are 8,030 sensitive polling stations and 4,430 highly sensitive ones.
In Balochistan, 2,068 polling stations are classified as sensitive, and 2,038 as highly sensitive. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 6,582 are categorised as sensitive, with 4,344 as highly sensitive.
It’s pertinent to note that discussions have begun within the ECP about holding the general elections on January 28 2024.
