ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has reserved its decision on ‘reserved seats’ for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
A five-member bench headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja heard the case. The argument was raised during hearing that the primary ruling of reserved seats verdict has been challenged in the high court, so now will it affect only Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or the entire country?
Counsel of the ruling part in the center, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) contended that the detailed decision on the High Court’s short order has also been announced. He also informed the ECP that Tariq Awan had submitted his party membership application in two days, as stipulated by the ruling.
After completion of the arguments, the ECP has reserved verdict.
