ISLAMABAD: With the upcoming general elections on the horizon, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to deploy nearly 1.736 million officers to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the elections.

The Election Commission has prepared a comprehensive list of officers who will be entrusted with various responsibilities during the electoral process.

ECP issues code of ethics for press ahead of general elections

In the province of Punjab, a substantial 526,123 officers will be appointed while in Sindh, the commission is set to appoint 20,315 presiding officers, who will play a crucial role in ensuring the electoral process unfolds smoothly and with integrity.

The province of Pakhtunkhwa will also witness a significant presence of officers, with 16,525 presiding officers and a remarkable 185,000 assistant presiding officers set to take on their roles.
