Egg prices in Lahore reach record high

LAHORE: Egg prices in Lahore have surged to a record high, with the official price of farm eggs rising by an additional Rs3, reaching an all-time high of Rs376 per dozen.

In the market, eggs are now being sold for over Rs450 per dozen, and a crate of eggs is commanding a price of Rs11,160.

Simultaneously, the price of broiler chicken meat has experienced a slight decrease.

The cost of broiler chicken has dropped by Rs10 per kg, with the official price set at Rs531 per kg by the market committee. The wholesale rate for live broiler chicken stands at Rs352 per kg, while the retail rate has been fixed at Rs366 per kg.
