ISLAMABAD: Work resumed across the country on Thursday as the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays came to an end. Offices, businesses, and banks reopened, marking the return to normal routine.
This year, the government had announced three official holidays from March 31 to April 2. However, with the weekend included, many employees enjoyed an extended break. As banks reopened after five days, a heavy rush of customers was witnessed.

Attendance in offices remained low on the first working day after the end of Eid holidays, as many employees extended their leave. Schools have not yet reopened and will resume classes next week.
Meanwhile, people who travelled out of the city to celebrate Eid with their families have started returning home. Transport hubs saw increased activity as buses and trains brought back holiday travelers.
During the Eid ul Fitr holidays, parks and recreational spots across the country saw an overwhelming turnout as families came out to celebrate.
On the first day of Eid, most people remained engaged in family gatherings and exchanging greetings. However, by the second and third day thousands of people, including women and children, flooded parks and public spaces.
In Islamabad Lake View Park, Shakarparian, Daman-e-Koh, Faisal Mosque, Jasmine Garden, and Japanese Children’s Park, became prime attractions for fun-seekers.
In Rawalpindi, parks such as Nawaz Sharif Park, Ayub National Park, Family Park in Commercial Market, and Jinnah Park remained packed with visitors. However, many citizens expressed concerns over the lack of facilities, overpriced food at cafeterias, and additional charges for parking at some locations.
