Eid-ul-Fitr holidays announced for schools

LAHORE: The Punjab government has announced Eid-ul-Fitr holidays for schools and colleges across the province.

According to Punjab Education Minister, the educational institutions will remain closed for Eid holidays starting March 28.

Meanwhile, Punjab Schools Secretary Khalid Wattoo stated that government schools will observe holidays from March 28 to April 6. However, annual results for government schools will be announced on April 4.

He further added that the new academic year will commence on April 7, and students will be promoted to their new grades.

The Sindh government has declared a public holiday across the province from March 31 to April 2, 2025, for Eid ul Fitr, according to a notification issued by the provincial administration.

As per the communication signed by Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, all public and semi-government offices will remain closed from Monday to Wednesday.

ISLAMABAD

The federal government announced the schools holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr.

According to details, educational institutions will remain closed for Eid and Spring holidays, according to a notification issued by the concerned authorities.

The closure was scheduled from March 31 to April 4, 2025.

The notification confirmed that educational institutions under federal jurisdiction would not be operational during these dates. Additionally, it was revealed that the new academic session for these institutions would commence on April 7, 2025.

Eid and Spring holidays have been announced, with the new academic session set to begin immediately after the break.

The notification also stressed that all staff and students must return to their regular duties and classes from April 7 onward.

It is worth mentioning that the Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted that Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to be observed on March 31 (Sunday).
