The meeting will take place at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, where religious scholars, meteorologists, and other officials will review moon sighting reports from across Pakistan to confirm the date for Eid ul Fitr celebrations.
Last month, the Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) used scientific methods, astronomical calculations, and modern technology to predict the visibility of the Ramadan and Shawwal crescents.
According to astronomical assessments, the Shawwal moon is expected to be visible on March 30, meaning Eid ul Fitr will likely fall on March 31, 2025.
