Eight family members including bride perish in tragic traffic accident

KARACHI: Tragedy struck a family in Ghotki as eight members, including a newlywed bride, lost their lives, and two others sustained injuries in a devastating traffic accident.

The incident occurred near the Guddu Interchange on Motorway M5 when a high-speed vehicle collided with a trawler, resulting in the tragic demise of eight individuals, including women and children.

Eight killed in Layyah traffic accident

Among the deceased were three women and two children, while the groom was among those injured. The injured parties were promptly transported to Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Rahim Yar Khan for medical treatment.

The ill-fated couple had recently tied the knot just two days prior to the accident and were en route from Sukkur to Mahi Chowk to celebrate their union.
