Eight family members killed in Kasur accident

LAHORE: Eight family members were killed and two were injured in a tragic accident when a van fell into a nullah near Khara Moor on Raiwand Road in Kasur on Friday morning.

According to rescue sources, the passengers in the van were coming back from attending a wedding when the van fell into the nullah. The accident occurred due to the driver falling asleep.

The deceased and the injured have been shifted to Bulleh Shah hospital. Five of the family members killed in the Kasur accident have been identified as  Laiba, Imran, Salman, Sani, and Maqsood.

Meanwhile, three people died when a tractor laden with rocks fell on a house in Gulabi Basti area of Multan.

 According to rescue sources, the dead bodies have been retrieved from the rubble. The deceased have been identified as Aslam, Muzammil and Fatima.

The dead bodies have been shifted to Nishtar Hospital.
