Eight terrorists eliminated in KP, says ISPR

RAWALPINDI: The security forces have killed eight terrorists in two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
According to ISPR, an intelligence-based operation was conducted by the security forces in Tank District upon receiving reports of the presence of Khawarij (terrorists) in the area.
During the operation, the troops effectively engaged Khawarij location and resultantly six Khawarij were sent to hell.
In another encounter that took place in the general area Tirah valley, Khyber District, the troops successfully neutralised two Khwarij.
Sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area, as security forces remain determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country, the ISPR said.
President, PM praise security forces
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday praised the security forces for successfully eliminating eight terrorists in two operations conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Acknowledging the anti-terror operations in Tank and Tirah Valley, both leaders reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to eradicating terrorism.
“The people of Pakistan fully support their security forces in the fight against terrorism and remain determined to eliminate this menace,” remarked President Zardari.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the government and security forces’ have a united goal of defeating terrorism.
“The entire nation takes pride in its courageous security forces. We will continue to foil the malicious plans of terrorists,” he stated.
