Eight terrorists killed in CTD operations

QUETTA: In two distinct Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) operations carried out in Quetta, a total of eight terrorists were neutralized, according to CTD authorities.

During the first operation, conducted on the basis of undisclosed intelligence, CTD officials claimed to have eliminated three terrorists associated with a banned organization.

Additionally, it was reported that terrorists launched an attack on security forces using hand grenades during the operation.

In response, security forces retaliated, resulting in the death of three terrorists and the recovery of weapons. CTD spokespersons confirmed this information.

In the second operation, arms and ammunition were discovered in a residence that had reportedly been used by terrorists. The CTD spokesperson stated that this operation resulted in the death of five terrorists.

Furthermore, it was disclosed that a hostage, identified as Abubakar, who had been abducted from Quetta a month ago, was successfully rescued from the hideout of the deceased terrorists, as per CTD officials.

The Counter-Terrorism Department has not provided specific details regarding the identities or affiliations of the terrorists involved in these operations.
