WEB DESK: Ahead of Eidul Fitr, the tourism police force is set to enhance security measures at recreational sites across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Zahid Chanzeb, advisor to the chief minister for Culture and Tourism, announced the extension of contracts for tourism police personnel and their deployment to various tourist destinations.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to promoting tourism, Chanzeb stressed the importance of exploring and showcasing the province’s attractions.
“In addition to extending the contracts, we have approved additional motorcycles for the tourism police to facilitate effective patrolling in areas like Kaghan valley and Nathiagali,” he stated.
With expectations of a significant influx of tourists from across the country, the government aims to improve hospitality services.
“Our strategy aims to attract more visitors to our tourist resorts by enhancing services provided by both the hospitality industry and government,” Chanzeb explained.
He further directed the commandant of the Tourism Police to assess security and other arrangements at recreational sites province-wide.
“We’ve also distributed brochures and pamphlets to educate and assist tourists, ensuring their seamless experience,” he added. The fate of contract employees will be determined based on their performance, Chanzeb concluded.
