Explosion reported near school in Mastung

MASTUNG: An explosion was reported near a school in Mastung, Balochistan early on Friday.

According to initial reports, the blast has resulted in multiple students being injured.

The blast occurred in the busy area close to the school and has also reportedly damaged nearby vehicles.

Emergency services have arrived at the scene. The injured have been shifted to local hospitals for treatment, while the area has been cordoned off by the police.

The Balochistan government has sought a report on the incident from the Balochistan Home Department.

As of now, the district administration, bomb disposal squad and security forces are present at the spot, provincial government Spokesperson Shahid Rand said, adding that the nature of the explosion is being determined.

Emergency has been imposed in hospitals to provide medical aid to the injured.
