Explosion reported on N-40 Nushki

NUSHKI: An explosion has been reported on National Highway N-40 in Nushki district of Balochistan.

Police officials have reached the area and said that the nature of the explosion is being determined.

The area has been cordoned off after the explosion, the police said.

As per latest updates, Pak-Iran Highway N-40 has been attacked, the police said, adding that the sound of the explosion was heard far and wide. The bomb disposal team is still trying to ascertain the nature of the explosion, while an emergency has been imposed in the Teaching Hospital.

BLAST IN QUETTA

Earlier today, six people were injured in an explosion near a police mobile on Kirani Road in Quetta, Provincial Government Spokesman Shahid Rind said.

A policeman was martyred, while the injured are being provided immediate medical assistance, the Balochistan government spokesman said, adding that the law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the area and investigations are underway.
