Fake lady constable arrested by police in Mansehra

WEB DESK: Police in Mansehra have arrested a woman who posed as a lady constable, seizing fake police uniforms, service cards, and a weapon from her possession.

According to reports, the Balakot police station took swift action after receiving a complaint from a local resident. The accused, identified as (S), wife of Faizan, a resident of Boi, allegedly impersonated a police officer, frequently engaging in arguments, misbehavior, and issuing serious threats.

The complainant stated that the suspect carried police uniforms and fake ID cards, which she used to exert influence and harass people. Upon receiving the report, District Police Officer (DPO) Mansehra Shafiullah Gandapur took immediate notice and ordered strict action.

Following these directives, SHO Balakot Fahad Shah arrested the accused. During the investigation, two fake police service cards and a police uniform were recovered from her possession. The suspect allegedly pressured and harassed individuals by pretending to be a police officer.

It was further revealed that the fake lady constable would call local residents as well as officials from other departments, inquiring about official matters to appear legitimate.

DPO Gandapur has urged the public to remain vigilant against such fraudsters and immediately report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station so that prompt legal action can be taken.

An investigation into the matter is ongoing, and legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused.
