ANOTHER SENATE INQUIRY UNDERWAY

Earlier today, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered an inquiry into the actions of certain officers in the Ministry of Housing for allegedly damaging the reputation of the parliamentary committee.

HUM News Investigation Team learned that the PM has also formed an inquiry committee, headed by the chief of Prime Minister Inspection Commission, Muzaffar Ranjha.

Ranjha summoned senior officer of the Senate, Zain Gilani, today.

The committee and the inquiry come in the wake of a letter written by Senate Committee on Housing Chairman Senator Nasir Mehmood Butt to PM Sharif, expressing several concerns. The letter reportedly said that two senior officers of the Ministry of Housing had allegedly issued orders contrary to the committee’s recommendations.
