FAISALABAD: A man in Faisalabad lost his life after being fatally stabbed by his younger brother during a dispute over what they deemed an ‘exorbitant electricity bill.’

The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Balochni police station in Faisalabad. According to the local law enforcement, a heated argument erupted between two siblings, Ghulam Fareed and Muhammad Qais, regarding the payment of their electricity bill.

Muhammad Qais demanded funds from his younger brother, Fareed, which quickly escalated tensions. In the aftermath of their disagreement, Ghulam Fareed resorted to a sharp-edged weapon, resulting in the tragic demise of his elder brother. After the incident, Ghulam Fareed fled the scene.

Police authorities have collected forensic evidence and initiated legal proceedings. A case has been registered based on the report filed by the deceased Qais’s wife. Subsequently, the police apprehended the accused brother, Ghulam Fareed.
