QUETTA: The father of Adeela Baloch – a young woman who was involved in a suicide bombing attempt – revealed that he contacted the Balochistan government after becoming aware of his daughter’s situation. He explained that after informing the authorities, prompt action was taken, and his daughter was recovered.
Addressing other parents, Adeela’s father urged them to closely monitor their children’s activities, especially those studying in colleges and universities. “It’s essential to keep an eye on your children,” he said, emphasising the importance of parental vigilance.
In a direct message to insurgents operating in the region, he questioned how fellow Baloch could recruit their own daughters and turn them into suicide bombers. “What kind of Baloch are these who pick up their own daughters and make them bombers?” he asked.
Adeela’s father also dismissed much of the content circulating on social media regarding his daughter’s case as mere propaganda. He concluded with a strong appeal, hoping that his message would reach even to the mountains, to those responsible for radicalising young people.
