ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted permission to Former Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry to travel abroad for two weeks.

Chief Justice Aamer Farooq presided over the hearing regarding Chaudhry’s request to leave the country. The court ordered that Fawad Chaudhry’s name be temporarily removed  from the no-fly list and he be allowed to travel abroad from August 10 to August 24.

During the proceedings, the Deputy Attorney General requested additional time to submit a response.

Earlier, on July 5, the Islamabad High Court heard Fawad Chaudhry’s petition to have his name removed from the travel restriction list.
