Federal govt alone cannot face all challenges: PM Shehbaz

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday said that tackling the challenges ahead requires a collective effort beyond the federal government alone. He expressed hope that political divergences would be set aside to confront these challenges effectively.

Addressing the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) Apex Committee in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed these remarks.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister announced the completion of the staff-level agreement with the IMF, noting that the installment from the IMF is expected to be received in the coming days.

The PM acknowledged that inflation has exacerbated the burden of poverty, emphasizing the necessity of making difficult decisions moving forward. He stressed that these decisions should primarily impact segments of society capable of bearing such burdens.
