Field Marshal Asim Munir visits Multan, welcomes new Attack Helicopters

RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, visited Multan Garrison on Saturday, where he assessed the formation’s combat readiness and took part in a ceremony marking the formal induction of Z-10ME attack helicopters into the Pakistan Army Aviation Corps, the military’s media wing said.

The ceremony, held later during the visit, signified the operational deployment of the Z-10ME, a modern Chinese-built attack helicopter, bolstering the army’s aerial firepower and tactical capabilities.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Field Marshal was briefed on the formation’s operational preparedness and ongoing training activities. During the visit, he expressed confidence in the Pakistan Army’s ability to maintain a decisive edge in an evolving warfare environment.

Field Marshal Munir praised the troops for their high morale, professional excellence, and combat capabilities, underscoring the army’s commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity under all circumstances.

Reaffirming the armed forces’ unwavering resolve, the Field Marshal said the Pakistan Army remains fully prepared to counter all threats, conventional or hybrid. Later, he also participated in an interactive session with members of academic and civil society circles, where he emphasised the importance of national cohesion and civil-military synergy in addressing emerging challenges, particularly hybrid threats.
