Field Marshal meets think tanks, policy experts during US visit

WASHINGTON: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir held meetings with leading US think tanks, analysts, policy experts, and international media representatives in Washington DC, a statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.
The statement said that Field Marshal highlighted Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to peace and stability in the region. He also shed light on details and analysis of Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyanum Marsus.
During these meetings, Field Marshal Asim Munir explained Pakistan’s stance on terrorism. He mentioned negative role of some regional elements sponsoring terrorism under hybrid warfare.
Pakistan has been at the forefront of the war against global terrorism, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said, adding that Pakistan has made immense sacrifices in this war against terrorism.
Field Marshal spoke on Pakistan’s role in information technology, agriculture, and minerals, and highlighted numerous opportunities for investment and growth in sectors like natural resources.
“Many such opportunities have not yet been utilised,” Field Marshal shared during his meetings at the US, the ISPR statement said.
Field Marshal Asim Munir also invited global stakeholders to partner with Pakistan in these areas for shared prosperity, ISPR said.
