Finance Minister to hold a post-budget press conference today

The conference is scheduled to be held at 12:30 PM in Islamabad secretariat, as a chance for the media platforms to seek clarifications or comments on the annual budget announced yesterday.

The federal government has announced relief for salaried class, and increase in military budget. At the same time, an array of taxes has been implemented – or increased existing taxes – on solar panels, e-commerce sales etc.

The budget has also allocated Rs 1,000 billion to the Federal PSDP program and Rs 2,869 billion Provincial Annual Development Programs (ADPs), in addition to an investment of Rs 355 billion by State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) from their own resources.
