FIR registered on bomb blast attack near Karachi airport

KARACHI: The bomb blast near the airport signal was confirmed as a suicide attack, according to the text of the first information report (FIR) filed today.

The case states that the attack specifically targeted Chinese nationals and was intended to tarnish the country’s reputation.

The explosion, which occurred around 11 o’clock, was described as loud and destructive. Upon reaching the scene with security personnel, officials found vehicles destroyed and engulfed in flames.

The FIR reveals that two foreigners were killed in the attack, along with the remains of the suspected bomber.

In total, 15 vehicles, both government and private, including the suicide bomber’s vehicle, were damaged in the blast, the FIR said.
