ISLAMABAD: A fire has erupted in a plaza in sector G-11 Markaz today, prompting a swift response from emergency services.
According to rescue officials, the blaze reportedly started in a generator, causing thick smoke to billow from the building, alarming nearby residents and business owners.
Rescue officials are working tirelessly to control the fire in Islamabad plaza, which has threatened to spread to nearby structures.
The fire brigade was immediately summoned and multiple fire engines have been dispatched to the scene to assist in containing the blaze.
Rain with thunderstorms predicted in Islamabad
Eyewitnesses reported seeing flames and heavy smoke coming from the upper floors of the plaza. The area has been cordoned off to ensure the safety of the public and to allow firefighters to work efficiently.
Efforts to extinguish the fire are ongoing, with firefighters using high-pressure hoses and other equipment to battle the flames.
