Fire breaks out in Karachi Saddar plaza; KE suspends electricity

KARACHI: A fire erupted at Noman Shopping Center in Saddar, Karachi earlier today, prompting an immediate suspension of electricity in the area as a precautionary measure, according to K-Electric officials.

The blaze, which broke out in the bustling commercial centre, has led to ongoing firefighting efforts. K-Electric staff are present at the site and working closely with the building’s management, the company’s spokesperson confirmed.

“Firefighting is still underway, and entry into the building remains impossible at this time,” the spokesperson said.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire. “The cause of the incident will only be known after a thorough investigation,” added the spokesperson, urging residents and shop owners to remain patient as emergency services work to bring the situation under control.
