Fire breaks out in solar panel, perfume warehouses in Karachi

KARACHI: A fire erupted in two warehouses, one storing solar panels and the other perfume, at Hawksbay on Tuesday morning.

The fire in Karachi started at a solar panel storage area and quickly spread to a nearby perfume warehouse.

The fire intensified due to the chemicals stored in the perfume facility, causing explosions from chemical drums and shattering bottles.

Firefighting teams from Pakistan Navy, Air Force, and KMC are actively working to control the blaze.

Due to the presence of acids and other chemicals, the intensity of the fire has increased.

Authorities have advised people to stay away from the affected area.

If the fire isn’t controlled soon, it risks spreading to adjacent warehouses. Over 12 fire trucks from various agencies are on-site, battling the flames.
