Five killed in armed attack on Ghotki village

GHOTKI: Five people were killed while five were injured when some persons opened fire at them near Daharki in district Ghotki, Sindh on Saturday.
Police said that unidentified armed men attacked Jam Bajar village leaving at least five persons dead and two injured in the shooting incident.
The deadly incident is result of an ongoing feud between two clans, according to police. “The accused had attacked on a Bethak (meeting place) of the village,” police said.
Katcha dacoits release video of captives
On the other hand, dacoits of katcha area in Tangwani, Sindh have released the video of two persons, Mansoor Pathan and Ghulam Rasool Bakhrani, who had been kidnapped from the Indus Highway 20 days ago while they were on their way to their village.
In the video, dacoits can be seen torturing the captives, while the latter imploring their families to pay ransom to their captors in order to secure their release.
Extremely perturbed after watching the video, families of the captives have appealed to the inspector general of police, Sindh and other officials to take steps for the release of their loved ones.
SSP Tangwani Bashir Ahmad Brohi, on the other hand, has said that an operation against dacoits was in progress in the katcha area and soon all the captives would be reunited with their families.
