Five soldiers martyred in counter-terrorism operation: ISPR


Five soldiers of the Pakistan army were martyred in a clash with terrorists in Peshawar district, the military’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) revealed on Tuesday

RAWALPINDI: Five soldiers of the Pakistan army were martyred in a clash with terrorists in Peshawar district, the military’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) revealed on Tuesday.

According to the ISPR, “Naik Muhammad Ashfaq Butt Shaheed, Lance Naik Syed Danish Afkar Shaheed, Sepoy Taimur Malik Shaheed, Sepoy Nader Saghir Shaheed, and Sepoy Muhammad Yasin Shaheed sacrificed their lives in the line of duty”.

The martyrs’ funeral was held with many senior military personnel in attendance. “A large number of senior officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army, families of the martyrs, loved ones and relatives and people of the area participated in the funeral prayer of the martyrs,” the statement stated.

The ISPR stated that the Pakistan army is committed to eliminating terrorism from the country. The military aims to achieve this by working alongside citizens.
