Five terrorist killed, four soldiers martyred in South Waziristan: ISPR

ISLAMABAD: Security forces conducted an operation in South Waziristan, killing at least five Khawarij terrorists.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), four soldiers were martyred in an exchange of gunfire with the terrorists.

The martyred soldiers were identified as Naib Subedar Taib Shah, Lance Naik Gulab Zaman, Lance Naik Muzzamil Mahmood and Lance Naik Habibullah.

According to the ISPR, a clearance operation is under way in the region to eliminate any remaining threats.

“Security forces remain resolute in their mission to rid the homeland of terrorism,” the ISPR said.

“The sacrifices of our brave soldiers strengthen our determination to achieve lasting peace and security.”
