Five terrorists killed in Tank operation: ISPR

ISLAMABAD: Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Malazai area of Tank district on Friday, killing five terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

The ISPR said that the slain militants were involved in terrorist activities against the security forces, extortion and target killing of citizens.

They were also planning to carry out attacks on important installations and public places, the ISPR statement added.

The security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the hideout of the terrorists. A sanitization operation is under way to eliminate any remaining terrorists in the area, the ISPR said.

The ISPR further said that the security forces are committed to eradicating the menace of terrorism from the country and ensuring peace and stability for the people.
