Fleeing PTI leaders Bushra Bibi, Gandapur turn up in Mansehra

ISLAMABAD: Bushra Bibi, spouse of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf founder Imran Khan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur have reached Manshera after fleeing from Islamabad.

Opposition leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub is also with them.

 Bushra Bibi and CM KP escaped after leaving their party supporters in the lurch Tuesday night when the security forces launched an operation to vacate the Blue Area.

According to security sources, the law enforcers vacated the Blue Area and launched a manhunt for the arrest of Ali Amin Gandapur and Bushra Bibi.

While leading the march earlier, Bushra Bibi claimed that she would not leave Islamabad until Imran Khan is released.

According to sources, PTI leaders fled together from the protest point and it was unclear how they managed to flee and where they went.

Bushra Bibi’s driver has also been arrested by the law enforcing agencies.

Now reports have emerged that Bushra Bibi, Ali Amin Gandapur and Omar Ayub have reached Mansehra.

KP CM Ali Amin Gnadapur will address a press conference today at 11:00 am at the Insaaf Secretariat.

PTI WORKERS ARRESTED

According to Rawalpindi police, during the grand operation, over 400 miscreants have been arrested.

A large quantity of weapons, ammunition, and wireless communication devices have been recovered, according to the spokesperson.

The suspects were involved in attacks on police, vandalism, and arson at various locations, the spokesperson added.

Across Punjab, nearly 800 miscreants have been arrested so far, according to the police spokesperson.

Miscreants will be arrested and brought to justice, the police stated.
