Through the Bardana App, farmers can submit their applications for wheat procurement, which will be accepted from Saturday (today) till next Wednesday.

Following verification by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and Punjab Land Record Authority, farmers will receive confirmation messages regarding the allocation of gunny bags and the scheduled date for wheat collection.

The distribution of gunny bags will commence on April 19, ensuring that farmers receive the necessary resources in a timely manner. Wheat procurement is set to begin on April 22 across various centers established by the Punjab food department, including eight centers in Muzaffargarh and nine in Kot Addu.

Farmers will be able to acquire gunny bags on a first-come, first-served basis, with eligibility criteria set at six acres to protect small-scale farmers. The fixed price for wheat has been determined at Rs 3,900 per 40 kilograms, with an additional Rs 30 per 100 kilograms allocated as delivery charges.
